A History of Growth and Excellence

Liberty Steel Fabricating was founded in 1998 by Andy Gatenbein, and grew from a two-person prototype fabrication company to a large team of tradesmen, engineers, and manufacturers and a 65,000 square foot facility housing a range of fabrication equipment. In 2013, we acquired the company Empire Machine in Niles, MI, which allowed us to expand into the facility we have today by 2015, complete with manufacturing facilities, welding equipment, large cranes for movement, and much more. In 2018, we rebranded to Liberty 3D Technologies to better reflect our new, expanded range of capabilities.
