Liberty 3D offers a wide range of CNC manufacturing services, including quality CNC Turning services for a range of applications in our array of industries. We are fully equipped to machine large and small parts, and everything in between, with varying geometries and features. Thanks to our state-of-the-art CNC Turning equipment, we can manufacture components with tight tolerances and high accuracy.

CNC Turning: A Brief Introduction

CNC Turning is a similar process to CNC Milling-both are redactive manufacturing processes that shape the workpiece by removing material from it. However, in CNC Turning, bars of material are held in a chuck and rotated, while a tool is fed through the machine to shape the workpiece.

CNC Turning is often used for prototypes and low-volume projects, as these types of machines allow for faster operations, even for complex designs.  They perform the following operations:

  • Boring
  • Drilling
  • Facing
  • Grooving
  • Knurling
  • Parting
