Micro-TIG Welding

Liberty 3D Technologies maintains equipment to perform micro-TIG welding, a highly precise fabrication process that uses a gas tungsten arc to create the weld. With beads between .015 and .030″ micro, TIG welding is Liberty 3D’s step between the conventional weld and laser weld.

Micro-TIG welding is very versatile, able to work with many different metals, though its most commonly used for components with a high alloy density. This type of welding is excellent even for parts that are highly susceptible to heat, producing much less residual stress and ensuring the component’s structural integrity.
